30 Day Return Policy

For items not covered by our damaged items policy, we offer a straightforward returns process:

  • Country Valid: United States
  • Refund Policy: Blue Oasis Aquariums will refund your purchase amount, minus return shipping charges, should you be dissatisfied with your purchase.
  • Notification Period: You must notify us of your intent to return within 21 days of receipt.
  • Condition for Return: The item must be returned in sellable condition, in the original packaging or unused.
  • Application of Policy: Our return policy applies to cancellations made after an item has shipped or refusal at the time of delivery.
  • Shipping Charges: You will be responsible for return shipping charges.
  • Restocking Fee: There is no restocking fee charged for items returned in their original packaging. However a 10% restocking fee will be applied if box is opened.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds will be applied to the same payment method used when the original purchase was made. The monies will be applied once the product has arrived to the distributer. 
  • Discount Items: All items sold under a clearance, blowout, or liquidation are final and not eligible for return.

Policy for Damaged Items

At Blue Oasis Aquariums, we strive to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition. However, we understand that sometimes things can go wrong during transit. Here's how we handle items that are damaged during shipping:

1. Damaged Tanks, Sumps, and Other Large Items:

  • Eligibility for Returns: Tanks, sumps, and other large items shipped via freight/LTL cannot directly be returned to Blue Oasis Aquariums. They must go to the supplier.
  • Supplier Direct Returns: If you wish to return an oversized item, please contact our customer service team. We will assist you in reaching out to the supplier directly to inquire about return eligibility. Please note that if the  item is eligible for a return, the supplier may charge a restocking fee and require the item to be shipped back at your expense.

2. General Damaged Items Policy:

  • Reporting Damage: In the event an item is damaged in transit, please contact us within 3 business days of delivery.
  • Supplier Coordination: We will get in touch with the supplier directly to request a replacement shipment and provide you with further instructions. You should retain the damaged product along with all original packaging, as damaged items are handled by the supplier directly.
  • Inspection: Please open all packages and inspect all items for damage immediately upon arrival.

    3. Dry or Live Rock Damage:

    • Inherent Risk: Despite our best efforts to package rock securely, couriers do not allow the rock to be insured, and there is some inherent risk with shipping dry/live rock.
    • No Replacement or Refund: It is impossible to replace or refund broken pieces of dry or live rock. However, most pieces can be repaired with epoxy or superglue.
